The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is an internationally established university with a 160-year history rooted in the Bauhaus tradition, combining science and technology with art and design. This approach characterises the Faculties of Architecture & Urbanism, Civil Engineering, Art & Design, and Media. In addition to their subject-specific functions, the faculties are also committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and to forging links between art, science and practice.

In practice and theory, the professorship »Architectural Space and Design« will attend to the phenomenon of space created by building. The professorship is integrated into the degree programmes of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism; future interdisciplinary formats are conceivable. Your Qualifications and Competences:

- and/or you have scientific expertise within the advertised profile. Your particular ability for academic work is demonstrated by a doctoral degree in a field related to the professorship as well as additional scientific achievements.
- You are able to teach in German and English.
- Ideally, in addition, you are experienced in research, in the obtaining of research projects and in the execution of research and development projects.
- You understand leadership as an integral part of your work and have an appreciative and furthering management style.
Our Offer to You:

The professorship is to be filled on a full-time basis (employee or civil servant status). However, the advertised job opening is also suitable to be filled by two people simultaneously (shared professorship, job sharing). In this case, a civil servant status is not possible and the employment relationship will be 50 % each. The applicants for a shared professorship submit a joint application and enclose a joint concept for their collaboration. Both candidates must fulfil the recruitment requirements for the position. An additional individual application is possible.
