To whom are the academics online seminars and events addressed?
The academics online seminars and events are addressed to all jobseekers (students, interns, graduates, phd candidates and doctorate holders) from the fields of academia, research, the public sector and civil society, as well as all those wishing to advance their careers in these areas.
How can I register for an academics online seminar or event?
Select your desired event on this events page and click "Sign up". If you are already registered with academics and logged in, you will find the academics online seminars under the menu item "My academics" > "Events" (https://www.academics.com/my-academics/events). You may also register for multiple academics online seminars.
Please remember to check your email inbox after registration in order to confirm your enrolment for the online seminar or event.
How do I start the academics online seminar and what is the schedule?
You will automatically receive an email reminder regarding your participation in the academics online seminar. At the start time, click on the link in the email to enter the webinar room directly. The academics online seminar will start automatically for you in listener mode. You may pose questions via the chat function (anonymously to other participants and visible only to the presenters); questions of clarification will be answered immediately, whilst all other questions will be collected and addressed at the end of the academics online seminar.
Depending on the topic, the academics online seminars last approximately 90 to 120 minutes.

Participation is free of charge; you are only required to register with academics and confirm your enrolment for the academics online seminar via your email inbox.
What are the technical requirements for participation?
The academics online seminar takes place via the web-based software "edudip next" and is therefore available to you immediately without any installation. No additional browser plug-ins are required. You should have a stable internet connection. A microphone or camera is not necessary, as you will remain in listener mode throughout the entire academics online seminar. You may pose questions via the chat function (anonymously to other participants and visible only to the hosts). To allow for the automatic audio and video test, we recommend joining the webinar room a few minutes prior to commencement.
