The Chair of Electronic Materials and Nanostructures is member of the Center for NanoIntegration of the University of Duisburg-Essen (CENIDE), which bundles the nanotechnology sciences at the University with approx. 80 working groups.
Your tasks:
You will carry out research tasks in the Collaborative Research Center CRC/TRR 247 “Heterogeneous Oxidation Catalysis in the Liquid Phase”, which is funded by the German Research Foundation. The aim is to elucidate fundamental mechanisms of catalytic processes. Using state-of-the-art laser spectroscopy, you will have the opportunity to conduct research on nanoscale metal oxides for tailoring their catalytic activity for specific applications in a sustainable energy future.
You have access to extensive technological and spectroscopic equipment.
Your profile:
Completed university studies in nanoengineering/nanosciences, chemistry, physics, or materials sciences of at least 8 semesters
If possible, experience in areas such as optical spectroscopy, materials science, catalysis, and/or chemical processes
independence, sense of responsibility and strong interest in research
