University Professor - salary grade W3
in the field of Technical Systems in Demographie Change.
This professorship is an innovation professorship, an instrument that was created by the Executive Board and faculties as part of the University's strategic planning and that is used to quickly and flexibly develop and expand promising fields.

Working field: Research and teaching foundations, methods and applications of gerontopsychological aspects of technical systems and their application to a lifespan human-system interaction. Teaching in the interdisciplinary Master‘s program Human Factors; the engineering Bachelor‘s and Master‘s programs and other programs at the TUB.
Research in the field of new challenges in analyzing, evaluating and designing human-system interaction regarding demographic change (e.g., mobility concepts, technical assistance for the elderly, robotics in health care, ambient systems).
Requirements: Candidates must fulfill the requirements for appointment at the professor level in compliance with § 100 BerlHG (Berlin Higher Education Act), including a finished academic education, qualified achievements in research (PhD in psychology, human factors, gerontology, or related areas), postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent qualification (scientific papers) and pedagogical didactic qualifications, to be given proof of by a teaching portfolio (for more information see TUB website, quick access no. 144242).
Excellent research and teaching qualification as evident in international publications and third-party funding. Experience with interdisciplinary collaborations in Psychology/Ergonomics of aging and technical systems. The willingness to offer English-language teaching is required. The willingness to learn German is expected from Non-German speaking applicants.
