ln the Department of Computer Science, which is part of the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics, the following position is to be filled as soon as possible:
Professor – W 3 (f/m/d) in Computer Networks
We are looking for an excellent researcher in the area of computer networks who is willing and able to teach courses in the area of computer networks within the degree programs of computer science and computer engineering, We also expect the ability and willingness to participate in the academic self-administration, to teach courses in English, and to develop digital teaching formats.
Scientific qualification should be demonstrated by publications in internationally leading networking conferences and journals in one of the following areas: analysis, design, or application of networked embedded systems, high performance networks in supercomputers or data centres, or future wire-less or wired network technologies. Our Department is currently focusing on three strategic re-search areas: security, data science, and domainspecific computing. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to at least one of these research areas.
Successful applicants should have experience with acquiring and conducting third-party funding projects. We also expect the willingness to actively take part in proposals for collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects and to participate in existing projects and research centers. Paderborn University offers several possibilities for that, such as the Software Innovation Campus Paderborn (SICP) and the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing (PC2).
