The Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau (TUAS) is one of the leading academic institutions in Brandenburg. Approximately 4,000 students are currently enrolled. We are looking to fill the position below as soon as possible in the:
Faculty of Business, Computing and Law for the European Management degree pro­gramme:

of General Business Administration with a focus
on Finance, Accounting and Controlling

The successful candidate will teach and undertake applied research and knowledge transfer in both bachelor and master programmes according to the profile of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau.
We are looking for someone with specialized knowledge of financing as well as internal and external accounting with a particular focus on the international, respectively, European aspects of these topics. The candidate is expected to be have practical experience in this field. Candidates should have a degree in economics and a relevant qualified PhD or equivalent scientific achievements.
For the Bachelor degree programme in particular, we are looking for someone who can teach in both fluent German and English and preferably with a high competence in intercultural communication and leadership and coordination skills.
The successful candidate will also be expected to teach core subjects in related fields which will include courses in the subject area in other degree programmes. The willingness to teach on the distance learning courses and involvement in the development of online learning programmes is also expected.
We are looking for a person who has acquired practical experience supported by relevant teaching and research activities and can plan and carry out the above mentioned courses to a high degree of didactic competence.
The successful candidate will provide vocational and practical teaching and develop positive professional relationships with students and all other partners.
The Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau aims to strengthen its international and interdisciplinary profile in both teaching and research so therefore appropriate work experience as well as an established international network is called for. The TUAS Wildau also attaches great importance to practice-oriented research and knowledge transfer by professors. Associated research and recognized publications and the development of contacts with external regional and national partners are therefore highly desirable.
A willingness to participate in education reform processes and in the university‘s selfadministration committees is required.
In the case of a first appointment the professorship will be limited to three years and six months in accordance with § 43 para.1 of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG).
In addition to general employment law provisions, this post is subject to the following requirements under § 41 BbgHG:
  • a successfully completed university degree,
  • teaching ability,
  • particular aptitude for academic work, usually through a qualified doctoral thesis and
  • special achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods in at least three years relevant professional experience, at least two years of which must have been gained outside the higher education sector.
The employment status is according to § 43 BbgHG. Severely disabled applicants will be preferred in cases of equally qualified applicants. The Technical University of Wildau strives to increase the proportion of qualified women scientists and encourages qualified women candidates to apply.
The Technical University of Wildau is certified as a family-friendly university. The professorship can also be appointed as a part-time position.
