competent authority invites applications for a tenured
"Literacy Acquisition under the
terms of Heterogeneity"
The post holder will need to represent the full scope of research and lecturing in the field of
didactics of literacy acquisition focussing on different learning conditions. The professorship
is concerned with various conditions of the literacy acquisition and conditions specific to its
addressees and their learning dispositions. This approach is based on a broadened concept of
literacy (transition from orality/oral expression to literality/written expression from a medial and
conceptual perspective) as well as changing writing-related circumstances of socialization.
The teaching and lecturing is related mainly to the elementary German didactics.
The applicants are expected to have theoretical and empirical experiences. The post holders are
required to identify with the faculty's research program and participate in research collaborations
within the interdisciplinary context.
Requirements for application:
First and second state examination for teaching or comparable qualifications
Multiannual practical experience in relevant field of work, preferably school context
Outstanding and relevant PhD
Habilitation or other equivalent postdoctoral qualification
Experience in teaching/lecturing on an academic level in the field of Elementary Didactics
(German) / Literacy Acquisition
Experience in raising external funds
The post holder is expected to participate actively in academic committees (§34 of the
"Hochschulgesetz des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt") and to cooperate with the "Zentrum für
Lehrer*innenbildung" (ZLB) of the Martin-Luther-University, especially in consideration of the
aspect of inclusive education. A willingness to work with the "Zentrum für Schul- und Bildungsforschung"
(ZSB) is requested.
