Professorship for "Music in Social Work" at the Department of Social Work
What to expect:
You will teach on our Bachelor's and Master's programmes at the Department of Social Work.
Your teaching and research activities will focus on music-related work in fields of practice within social work.
In addition, you are also open to issues concerning music and cultural work in and using digital media.
At the same time, you will represent genres of contemporary youth culture in teaching (such as hip-hop).
Last but not least, you will be involved in foundation lectures on media and cultural education, and in continuing education.
You will have the opportunity to implement research projects and externally funded projects at a research-intensive university of applied sciences.
Your expertise is underpinned by a degree in Music Education or a comparable degree.
An additional qualification in Social Education would be desirable.
You also hold a doctorate in a relevant subject, completed with above-average success.
We can count on your professional experience with a relevance to social work, preferably in the field of music and youth work, music and health, or music geragogics.
Ideally, you have extensive experience in teaching, and are familiar with applying for and collaborating in research projects.
You are able to play an analogue accompanying instrument (such as the piano or guitar)
Your portfolio is complemented by a network of partners from the field.
