In order to extend our team we are seeking a full-time Professor f/m/d for Applied Computer Science. The position is temporary for a period of 2 years.Your Responsibilities
Holding compentence-oriented courses in the fields of Applied Computer Science, modern Software Engineering, Ergonomics and Development, Data Engineering as well as Cloud Computing in the English-language Master programs Applied Computer Science and Big Data & Business Analytics
Instructing the students in acquiring the intended competencies, conveying the necessary course content using didactically suitable methods as well as grading the examation results
Taking resonsilibily for modules in the two mentioned Master programs ranging from the selection and guidance of lectureres to the planning of sessions
Supervising research and master thesis projects including student mentoring, partner management and publication of selected works in scientific journals
Performing administrative tasks and participating in the academic self-administration of the university
At least three years of professional experience in the area of applied computer science or software application development
Knowledge of the principles of modern software engineering and information system development, microservices, cloud computing, IT security, applied artificial intelligence, data architectures and analytics, usability engineering
Practical and teaching experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus in software engineering and systems development
Relevant publications and conference contributions in the field of computer science
Teaching experience in a university is benefit
Excellent English language skills
Willingness to actively develop and accompany learning processes according to the CORE principle, as well as an independent and responsible style of working
