The German Science Foundation (DFG) funds the Research Unit "Spatial community
ecology in highly dynamic landscapes: from island biogeography to metaecosystems
[DynaCom]" from 01.01.2019 to 31.12.2021. Coordinated at the University
of Oldenburg (UOL), DynaCom will analyse the interplay of regional
processes (dispersal, colonization) and local interactions (competition, trophic
interactions, mutualisms) to assess the dynamics of community composition on
island ecosystems. The research unit addresses both terrestrial and coastal marine
communities integrating field observation, a large-scale field experiment, modelling
and data analysis.
The DynaCom consortium seeks to hire the following staff across subprojects
12 PhD students (m/f)
(3 years, 65 or 75%, salary group 13 TV-L)
The following positions are available, details on the requirements for each position
can be found under the given link and via the given contact person. Applications
should always give the number of the position and should be directed to
the person in charge. The common starting date for all positions is January 1st
2019, the application deadline is specific for each position, see the links below.
