The Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology of the University of Munich offers a

PhD student position in Immunobiology

Applications are invited from highly motivated and outstanding students with a master‘s degree (or equivalent) in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or immunology.

The position is embedded in a research team focusing on pathogenetic mechanisms of autoimmune diseases. The PhD project will investigate monogenetic autoimmune diseases and the role of genes associated with the development of autoimmune diseases.

Requirements:
  • graduation at a master‘s level (or equivalent) by the time of application with an above-average university degree (B+ or better; 2+ or better)
  • strong interest in immunology/autoimmunity and enthusiastic about research lab work
  • experience in cell culture and molecular biological techniques is an advantage
  • qualified to communicate and perform research in English
Our offer:

  • project is funded by a BMBF grant and the „FöFoLe“ program at the University of Munich
  • salary will be according to standard public service salary (65% TV-L)
