PhD Student on the topic "Characterization of preclinical models for radiooncology"

Description:
Deciphering of interactions among tumor cells and cellular and non-cellular components orthotopic tumor models upon proton and photon irradiation
Establishment of a translational ex vivo model mimicking in vivo condition for radiobiological research
Imaging of tumor and tissue alterations using preclinical imaging modules (Optical / X-Ray imaging systems, CT, MRI)
Spatial specific tumor and tissue analysis
Working in cooperation with partners, e. g. radiomics, biostatistics, mathematical modelling, and pathology
Your profile:
Master / diploma in biology, biotechnology, biomedicine or related fields
Knowledge in tumor biology, tumorigenesis or tissue homeostasis is desirable
Basic skills in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology and histological techniques would be an advantage
Have a strong interest in translational studies on experimental tumors including readiness to perform in vivo experiments (FELASA B is a plus)
Experience in or willingness to learn programming languages (e. g. R, Python) as well as image analysis software (e. g. Fiji ImageJ, CellProfiler)
Strong commitment, motivation and discipline to work independently and efficiently
Strong team player with the ability to succeed in a dynamic international environment
Excellent ability to communicate and write in English
