You will be part of an interdisciplinary environment that offers diverse opportunities to work in a future-oriented manner at the interface of research and application.
Your responsibilities include:
Working in an multidisciplinary team for the development of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) methods on pressurised components of our test platform "Hydrogen Fuelling Station"
with focus on Acoustic Testing (AT).
Your specific tasks comprise:
Integration of SHM methods using Aucoustic Testing into the test platform and validation of their reliability
Development of measurement strategies and test routines for pressure vessels, pipelines and fittings based on relevant literature, standards and legal bases, as well as appropriate methodologies and procedures
Optimisation of the sensor arrangement and further development of signal processing approaches
Development, application and validation of procedures for SHM and remaining life time assessment
Integration of the monitoring systems into the digital infrastructure of the test platform and supporting the design of a digital twin
Successfully completed scientific university degree (master's / diploma) in physics, physical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field
Expertise in measurement data processing (big data analysis) and simulation of test results
Knowledge in application of methods for evaluating measurement data, preferably including pattern recognition and machine learning
Comprehensive computer and IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and MATLAB
Profound English language skills
Willingness to work on the BAM test site TTS
Knowledge of acoustic testing (AT) or other acoustic inspection methods is preferred
Knowledge of fibre composite materials is desirable
Experience in carrying out tests, especially acoustic testing or other acoustic inspection methods, is an advantage
Knowledge of other programming languages such as C++, Python or Lua is an advantage
Good communication and information behaviour, goal-oriented and structured way of working, initiative / commitment, ability to work in a team / willingness to cooperate, flexibility and conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
Interdisciplinary research at the interface of politics, economics and society
Work in national and international networks with universities, research institutes and industrial companies
