Junior Research Assistant (f/m/d) in Public Economics
The Chair of Public Finance at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg is offering two positions starting from
October 1, 2019:
Junior Research Assistant in Public Economics
You will be working as a part of a committed team conducting research projects that are international and empirical by design, addressing topics in
finance, taxation, and economic policy (see https://www.finanzwissenschaft.rw.fau.de). The chair's teaching curriculum encompasses courses at Bachelor's
and Master's level in both German and English.
As the ideal candidate you have completed a Master's degree in Economics with distinction, preferably with a focus on empirical research methods, public finance or
microeconomics. Furthermore, you are driven to pursue research and are highly motivated to work in empirical economics. Applicants in the final stages of their Master's
program are also welcome to apply.
We strongly support your work towards a PhD degree and encourage your participation in the structured coursework offered by the Institute of Economic Research. You also
have the opportunity to work on third-party funded projects. Pay grades are set according to TV-L E 13 (German public service remuneration). The positions are initially
set for a duration of three years, with the option to extend for two additional years.
