Junior professor - salary grade W1
for the chair of "Integrated Modeling of Energy Efficient Powertrains"Faculty V - Mechanical and Transport Engineering / Department of Land and Sea Transport SystemsReference number: V-259/15 (starting at the earliest possible / for a period of 3 years; after successful evaluation an
extension of 3 more years is possible / closing date for applications 25/11/16)
Working field: Teaching and research related to the topic "powertrain". Within the field of teaching necessary courses
of the master programmes "Transport Systems", "Vehicle Engineering", "Automotive Systems" and other programmes
focused on engineering shall be taught. Research should be focused on modeling, validating and simulating under the
aspect of energetic optimization, questions in model setup as well as development methods to holistically identify potentials
of powertrains while considering thermodynamic and economic boundary conditions.
Requirements: Fulfilment of the prerequisites of the Berlin Higher Education Act (§ 102a) (an information sheet can be
sent if requested), including a completed academic education in the field of engineering, preferredly in the fields of mechanical
engineering and/or transport systems, qualified achievements in research, usually proven by an outstanding doctoral
thesis (PhD), educational and didactic competences. Applicants are to be notably proven in the contemplated field
of study. Academic publications, experience in industry, proven qualification for academic and organizational leadership
of heterogeneous teams, and the willingness to interdisciplinary cooperation are demanded.
