to be assigned as soon as possible within the Department of Health Services Research.
Health services research is one of the research priorities of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Important partners are the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the University Medical Center Groningen and the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health as well as the corresponding clinical departments at the participating hospitals of the Medical Campus of Oldenburg University, the network of general practitioners, the Jade University of Applied Sciences and the University of Bremen.
The successful candidate is expected to have first experiences in the field of health services research in the context of the German or the Dutch health care system proven by national and international publications in peer-reviewed journals. Relevant methodological competencies in empirical research are required. We also expect first teaching experiences as well as participation in the acquisition of third-party funds. Knowledge of the German as well as the Dutch health care system and experiences in international research cooperation and in project management are desirable.
The successful candidate is required to participate in teaching in the faculty's degree programs with a focus on structures of health care systems. The candidate is expected to contribute to developing a master's program in the field of health services research.
Preconditions for employment are specified in § 30 Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz (NHG). Applications are invited from post-doctoral researchers in the early stages of their careers. In cases where a candidate, before or after obtaining his or her doctorate, has worked as a research assistant, the total duration of the doctorate period plus the period worked as a research assistant shall not exceed six years. The fixed-term contract will initially be limited to a period of three years and may be extended by a further three years, subject to positive evaluation.
To increase the proportion of women in science, equally qualified female candidates will be given preference. Applicants with disabilities will be preferentially considered in case of equal qualification. The position is suitable for part-time employment.
