The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Goethe
University Frankfurt invites applications for the following position,
starting on the earliest possible date:
House of Finance Professorship (W1)
in Real Estate Finance
supported by the Helaba
The position is limited to 6 years and subject to a midterm review.
With its aim of qualification as set out in the Hessian Higher Education
Act in the version of December 9th, 2015, the Professorship (W1)
corresponds to the previous Junior (Assistant) Professorship.
The position is assigned to the Finance Department. The Finance
Department currently consists of 13 professors and offers an attractive
scientific environment. The department focuses on theoretically
grounded and empirical research in the area of Finance. The successful
candidate becomes a member of the Finance Department and should
contribute to its further development.
We are looking for candidates with the potential to generate a
publication record in internationally leading finance journals.
Applicants are expected to have a focus on "real estate finance". A
successful applicant should also contribute to the Research Center
"SAFE Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe".
We expect participation in the teaching in our undergraduate and
graduate programs - in the long term, a successful candidate should
be able to teach in German and in English. The teaching load is
four teaching hours.
The designated salary for the position is based on "W1" on
the German university scale or equivalent. Goethe University is
