Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main invites applications for the position of
Endowed Professor (W3) of Sociology
with a focus on Digital Transformation and Work
at the Faculty of Social Sciences. This civil servant or public employee position will start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will have a strong international reputation in the research field of digital transformation of society and related changes in the field of societal labour. The tasks of the endowed professorship are the empirical research on and critical reflection of the corresponding social processes. Experience in relevant teaching, theory-based empirical research and the acquisition of third-party funds are a prerequisite.
The prospective candidate is willing to participate in current and future research projects at Goethe University especially in the profile area “Orders and Transformations” and in the university’s activities in digital research. We expect teaching engagement in all of the Faculty’s degree programs. Engagement in the transfer of knowledge is required.
The professorship is also involved in teacher training; experience and concepts for teaching subject content in schools are welcome. Successful candidates will be required to participate in the academic self-administration.
