The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tübingen invites applications for a position at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Tübingen-Stuttgart as a
Endowed Full Professor (W 3)
with a five-year contract, available immediately. The professorship may be extended or tenured provided funding is available and the candidate receives a positive evaluation.
The successful candidate must have an international proven track record and exhibit scientific excellence in research and teaching in the field of basic or translational research into the immunotherapy of cancers. This appointment is made within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Medicine / University Hospital Tübingen with the Robert Bosch Krankenhaus / Robert-Bosch Gesellschaft für medizinische Forschung GmbH and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ).
The successful candidate is expected to participate in existing research networks (SFB TR 209, SFB TR 156 and FOR 2314) and in particular in the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) in close collaboration with the Consortium and the Robert-Bosch Centrum für Tumorerkrankungen (RBCT) as well as working closely with the existing research areas in Tübingen. He/She should have a particular focus on the development of new immunotherapies for cancers.
Formal requirements for appointment are the habilitation or equivalent postdoctoral qualification, as well as proven teaching aptitude. This call for applications is directed at both scientific and medical researchers. The latter may take on duties in patient care.
