Associate Professor in Nursing Science (Tenure Track Position)

The position holder represents the advertised subject area in research and teaching. The teaching position supports the newly developed undergraduate
nursing program. The position is associated with the management of this degree program and with the assumption of leadership in the relevant committees
(course committee and examination board).
In research, a focus on one or more of the following topics is desired:
Nursing care of selected populations (e. g. children / adolescents or gender-sensitive care)
Nursing care interventions and strategies (e. g. promotion of self-management)
Nursing care in selected settings (e. g. acute and intensive care)
The candidate will contribute to the development of the scientific profile of the Institute of Health and Nursing Science and participate in the quality
assurance of courses offered by the IGPW. Furthermore, the promotion of young scientists as well as the development and expansion of international research
networks is expected. In addition, the applicant will collaborate closely with the Nursing Director of the Charité University Hospital and will engage
in nursing research in collaboration with faculty and clinicians.
Recruitment requirements: In accordance with § 100 BerlHG the candidate must have
previously hold a position as Professor or Assistant Professor or must have scientific achievements and teaching experiences equivalent to the German Habilitation.
In addition the following is expected:
University BS / MS and doctorate degree in Nursing Science or in a related field (e. g. Health Sciences)
Professional license in nursing (based on Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications) and clinical experience in nursing
Particular aptitude for academic teaching, documented university teaching qualifications and several years of teaching experience (proven by a teaching portfolio)
Research experience, documented research grants and / or practice development activities in the subject area (research portfolio / list of publications)
Fluency in the German language, proven language skills (at least Level C1), or preparedness to acquire German language skills at Level C1 within 2 years
The applicant also should have appropriate committee experience and will represent and strengthen the discipline of Nursing in the faculty's committees.
