The position is limited to four years with the option for extend for another two years.
The assistant professorship is assigned to the Institute of Information Systems (Unit Information Engineering) which is part of the Department of Business Administration.
The position involves teaching and research with special focus on Management of Information Systems.
Research interests should be in the field of digital services and/or (big) data-driven business. This includes the development of theories, principles and methods of design, management, and use of cloud-based IT-systems, IT-infrastructures, business applications and business models, of digital platforms and software ecosystems, of big data (analytics)-, artificial intelligence-, and machine learning-based applications, as well as of blockchain-based business applications and business models.
Teaching is at the undergraduate and graduate level. Four hours of teaching per week (in each of two semesters) are required. The language of instruction is German and/or English.
Candidates should possess an outstanding academic qualification. The successful applicant should be able to speak German or be up to acquire German language skills. A Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related areas is essential for this position and a strong publication record in internationally respected journals and/or conferences is required.
