Assistant Professor of Financial Accounting (m/f/d)
located at WHU Campus Vallendar, starting October 1, 2019.
WHU has more than 50 faculty members in the fields of management, finance and accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketing and sales, and supply chain management. Research at WHU aims to adhere to three principles: quality, internationality, and relevance to business practice
The position is supposed to strengthen the research profile of the WHU Financial Accounting and Tax Center in financial accounting and/or tax research.
Candidates should contribute to research activities of the WHU Financial Accounting and Tax Center.
Applicants should be prepared to teach in the various WHU degree programs (in English). The amount of required teaching will be limited to 72 hours per year.
Relevant Ph.D. degree or equivalent academic qualification which has been recently obtained or which is obtained until taking the position.
Candidates should demonstrate the potential to publish in top international peer-reviewed academic journals.
We expect a commitment to high-quality research and the contribution to the research environment at the WHU Financial Accounting and Tax Center with broad interests in the research areas covering financial accounting and tax.
An empirical research orientation (e.g., empirical-archival or qualitative) would be welcome.
The candidate should have obtained teaching experience with excellent teaching evaluations.
Outstanding English communication skills are a prerequisite.
