The Institute of Virology (chair: Prof. A. Dalpke) at the Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, is seeking for a highly motivated

Postdoc – Innate Immunity (f/m/x)

This full-time position is a third-party funded project for 24 months, starting January 1st, 2021. Salary is according to the TV-L (E13; 100 % ) dispositions.

The Postdoc will analyze activation of epithelial cells and the innate immune system by SARS-CoV2 and study patient-dependent innate immune reaction patterns. Our lab is specifically interested to elucidate how nucleic acids activate the innate immune cells. Experimental experience in the field of virology and / or innate immune activation is required.

Your profile:
  • PhD degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, medicine or related discipline
  • expertise in virology and immunology
  • good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • ability and motivation to work independently and to develop a research field
  • team working skills
