The successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing research project funded by the DFG focusing on developing mRNA-based therapeutic strategies of colitis ulcerosa. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project that aims to advance diagnosis, treatment, and patient care for individuals with colitis ulcerosa, particularly with regard to their increased risk of developing colorectal cancer.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Development of RNA-based therapeutic strategies of colitis ulcerosa, a disease with increased risk of developing colorectal cancer Design and execute experiments using molecular biology and animal experimental techniques
Analyzing experimental data and interpreting results
Keeping accurate records of experiments and maintaining a well-organized laboratory Data presentation at conferences and publications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
a strong academic background in molecular biology techniques such as SDS-PAGE, qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell-organelle staining
experience or a strong interest in animal experiments and omics would be highly advantageous. Good understanding of the pathogenesis of inflammatory related processes
exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
excellent written and verbal communication skills
ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
