Full Professorship (W3) for Translational Anatomy (Succession of Prof. Dr. Kerstin Krieglstein)
at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Department of Molecular Embryology. The position is to be filled as soon as possible. The professorship includes the leadership of the department. A renaming of the department to reflect the future research focus of the appointee can be requested after the start of employment. The successful candidate will represent the field of Anatomy in research and teaching. We seek an internationally visible researcher with an outstanding publication record and proven success in acquiring third-party funding, who will contribute to strengthening the scientific profile of the Faculty of Medicine and the University. Applicants are expected to have substantial experience in collaborative research initiatives and to play an active role in developing and coordinating new research consortia – particularly in alignment with the research focus areas of the Faculty of Medicine as well as the university’s profile line ‘Signals of Life’ and the ‘CIBSS’ Excellence Cluster. Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree in medicine, natural sciences or comparable degrees, a very good dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
