The following professorship is to be filled in the Faculty of Engineering at the location Koblenz as soon as possible:

Professor (f/m/d) Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

(Base Salary: W 2)
Part-time employment is possible.

Your tasks:

• Teaching (in German and English) in the subject areas of robotics, artificial intelligence in engineering and robotics, the virtual simulation of robotic systems, including teaching responsibilities in foundational courses offered by the Faculty of Engineering
• Establishment of a research profile as well as national and international research activities incl. publications
• Networking with regional stakeholders (companies, associations, etc.)
• Participation in academic self-administration

Your profile:

• Professional expertise in the teaching areas of robotics and AI-based robotics, including model-based design in the field of robotics
• Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally leadership experience
• Enthusiasm for working with young people and their development
• Openness for the further development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
• Openness to develop new teaching content according to further strategic employment
• High social competence in dealing with students, colleagues and employees
• Fluent in German (minimum C2-level) and in English (minimum C1-level)

The hiring requirements for professorships result from § 49 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
