Your responsibility:

• You will conduct teaching amounting to 9 semester hours (SWS) in Logistics. Courses will be held in German and in English, and incorporate the Integrated Logistics Laboratory.
• Your research fields in the subject area include
  • logistics management
  • logistics technologies
  • production logistics
  • transport logistics
  • digitalization and sustainability in logistics
• You will lead a large, internationally active, renowned research group.
• You will offer and supervise research assignments for bachelor's and master's theses and doctoral dissertations.
• You will acquire and manage third-party funded projects.
• You will promote
  • women and societal diversity, committing to gender- and diversity-sensitive practices,
  • knowledge and technology transfer.
• You will engage in committee and commission work.

Your profile:

• The hiring requirements according to § 100 ff. BerlHG must be fulfilled. These include
  • a completed, relevant university degree with a specialization in disciplines relevant to logistics,
  • special aptitude for academic work, usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctoral degree,
  • additional academic achievements, e.g. a positively evaluated junior professorship, habilitation, or equivalent qualifications,
  • teaching aptitude, demonstrated through your teaching portfolio (see https://www.tu.berlin/go209650/).
• In-depth academic knowledge in the field of Logistics in at least two of the above-mentioned research fields, evidenced by publications or third-party funded research projects, is essential.
• Recognized expertise and experience from research and teaching in the area of Logistics is required.
• As an internationally oriented university, we expect the ability to teach in both German and English, or the willingness to acquire the necessary language skills within a reasonable timeframe.
• Several years of professional experience, preferably in leadership roles with an international orientation, are desirable.
• Experience in leading and/or contributing to basic research projects and research networks in the subject area is advantageous, as is
• experience in promoting junior researchers and in knowledge and technology transfer.
