Your responsibilities
You will teach in the Bachelor-s and prospectively also in the Master-s program in Business Psychology.
You will take on courses in applied psychology in the field of Work and Health Psychology (e.g., „Work and Health Psychology“, „Occupational Health Management“) as well as basic psychological and methodological courses (e.g., “Applied Project in Business Psychology-, “Advanced Multivariate Statistics-).
You will also supervise Bachelor's and Master's students in seminar papers and theses.
You have a strong desire to be on campus and present for your students. Up to 25 % of your teaching can be provided as digital teaching, if required, to enable cross-location lectures.
You are prepared to conduct courses in German as well as in English.
You will promote interdisciplinary study formats, e.g., through practical student projects.
You will conduct research in the field of work and health psychology, ideally related to the digital transformation or innovative, sustainable ways of doing business.
You are interested in conducting research in cooperation with stakeholders from business, politics and administration as well as other research institutions, in addition to acquiring third-party funding.
You have strong interest in innovative communication formats which encourage the dialog between science and society.
You will shape the teaching and research profile of the Faculty of Economics as a committed, creative and team-oriented individual.
In doing so, you will strengthen the interdisciplinary integration of business psychology where it intersects with business administration, economics and engineering.
You will work with us to further develop our teaching and research profile and build up the Master-s degree program in Business Psychology.
You will contribute to the university-s internal committee work in a collegial manner and participate actively in expanding cooperation relationships with domestic and foreign universities.
Your Profile
You have
- a strong interest in both teaching and research
- good knowledge of quantitative research methods
In addition, you fulfil the requirements of § 36 Hochschulgesetz NRW and have:
- a completed university degree in psychology, business psychology or a closely related discipline
- a successfully completed relevant doctorate degree
- relevant professional experience (at least five years, ideally at least three of which gained outside the university sector) which you have acquired in the areas of workplace health management, occupational health and safety, psychological activities in the health care sector, human-technology interaction or human resource management
- by way of exception – and as an alternative to the required three years of professional experience outside the higher education sector in the aforementioned fields (or, at a minimum, within the advertised area of responsibility) – conducted research and scientifically published beyond the doctorate, within the framework of a professorship, a junior professorship, or a completed habilitation
Furthermore, you should also have
- university teaching experience to strengthen students- professional competence
- a good track record of research in the field of work and health psychology, beyond the scope of the work submitted for your doctoral degree
