We are looking for someone who can represent the interdisciplinary area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in biomedical engineering through their research, academic education, and innovation. Applicants should have a high reputation in one or several of the following fields:
The selected candidate will execute university tasks with a teaching obligation of 9 hours per week per semester.
The KIT Health Technologies Center (KITHealthTech (https://www.healthtech.kit.edu/index.php)), the HIDSS4Health Graduate School, and the collaboration with Karlsruhe Municipal Hospital offer an attractive environment for interdisciplinary research, as well as application- and practiceoriented innovations for future healthcare.
Applicants should have an internationally outstanding scientific reputation, excellent didactic skills, and management experience. In addition, work experience in industry or experience gained in collaboration with industry, acquisition of third-party funding, and the initiation of startups is desired.
Employment is subject to Art. 14, par. (2) of the KIT Act in conjunction with Art. 47 LHG Baden-Württemberg (Act of Baden-Württemberg on Universities and Colleges).
Apart from fulfilling general civil service requirements, candidates should have completed their university studies and possess pedagogical aptitude, didactic skills, as well as scientific qualification as evidenced by the quality of their doctorate, habilitation, or equivalent achievements.
