The Mannheim Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University is seeking a full-time, fixed-term (2 years with option to extend) position for the Institute of Clinical Chemistry to start as soon as possible:
Research Assistant / Postdoctoral Fellow (f/m/d)
The working group focuses on researching the morphological, molecular, and functional properties of endothelial cells and their changes in the context of metabolic and oncological diseases: Vascular Signaling, Metabolism and Cancer: University Hospital Mannheim (umm.de). The position is fundamentally divisible.
Your tasks:
- Research in the field of endothelial cell biology and signal transduction
- Application of state-of-the-art cell biology, molecular biology, and genetic methods, including OMICS and single cell analyses
- Use of bioinformatic analyses and data integration
Your skills:
- A degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline with a doctorate
- Experimental experience in molecular biology, vascular biology, and/or tumor biology
- Scientific curiosity and enthusiasm for science
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Excellent organizational skills, high level of commitment and determination, independence, and ability to work in a team
