Full Professorship (W3)
of Applied Mathematics
(Chair)
commencing as soon as possible.
The professorship represents the research area of stochastics. Connections to neighboring sciences, such as dis-crete mathematics, mathematical physics, statistical learning, or life sciences, are welcome. In teaching, the pro-fessorship organizes the mathematical part of the teacher study programs. The chair should particularly partici-pate in the mathematical training in the program for the upper secondary teacher education. It is also involved in the general teaching tasks of the Mathematical Institute in all mathematical programs and the mathematical service teaching for other departments.
Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
