Reference No. 2026/035. The Department of Literature, Art and Media Studies in the Faculty of the Humanities, seeks to fill this Position by October 1, 2027. The University of Konstanz is a dynamic and internationally successful research university with approximately 10,000 students. The campus university's architecture promotes interdisciplinary Cooperation and a sense of community among researchers, lecturers and students. The University of Konstanz has been continuously funded by the German Excellence Strategy since 2006. The applicant represents the entire spectrum of German literary studies with a special emphasis on Early Modern to 19th century literature and has a research and teaching focus on literary theory and/or cultural studies. The professorship is integrated into teaching with 9 LVS in the B.Ed./M.Ed. German, in the B.A. programmes in Literatures-Cultures-Languages with a focus on German Literature, Literature-Art-Media, and in the M.A. programmes in Literary Studies, Literature-Art-Media, and Global European Studies. Collaboration in interdisciplinary teaching and research contexts at Konstanz, e.g. in the DFG-Research Training Group 'Post-Eurocentric Europe' or the Centre for Cultural Inquiry (ZKF), is expected.
