Full Professorship (W3) for
Gynecological Oncology

in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Medical Director: Prof. Dr. I. Juhasz-Böss) to be filled as soon as possible. The future holder of this position will represent the field of gynecological oncology in research and teaching and will be entrusted with the management of the section for Gynecological Oncology and Senology. The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the leading clinics in the surgical and drug treatment of patients with gynecological malignancies, with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery. The future holder of this position should demonstrate broad surgical expertise in this field. Experience in initiating and managing clinical trials in the field of gynecological oncology and senology as well as further development of the Breast and Gynecological Cancer Center under the umbrella of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg (CCCF) is also expected. Interdisciplinary collaborations, active participation in research focus areas of the Faculty of Medicine, and participation in research alliances of the University of Freiburg are expected. The future holder of this position should have a recognised scientific profile with internationally visible publications and acquisition of third-party funding. Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree in medicine, a very good dissertation, an excellent publication record and a board certification (Facharztanerkennung) in gynecology and a specialization in gynecologic oncology. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
