The professorship conducts empirical research on the contemporary English language based on approaches from the spectrum of cognitive theories and teaches a wide range of topics in English linguistics across all study programs offered by the Department of English Studies. A desirable focus of research is the area of multimodality and/or semantics/pragmatics.
