- We expect you to successfully develop areas of research emphasis in the area of the appointment and, if the conditions are met, to participate in our Doctoral Centre for Environment and Technology. This will be supported by a research-friendly environment.
- It goes without saying that you will be committed to technology and knowledge transfer and cooperation with regional and national stakeholders as well as to contributing to the development of the university.
- Moreover, it is important for you to be involved in academic self-governance (official language German).

Would you like to help us give young people a university education?
Then please submit your detailed application via the online portal by 07.07.2026, addressed to the Rector, Professor Dr. Manuela Schwartz. We also look forward to receiving your application if you will only meet the conditions of appointment in the near future (date of decision regarding proposed appointments by the appointment committee). The face-to-face interviews are planned for approximately 3 months after the application deadline. Provided that the relevant requirements are met (assuming, among other things, that the candidate is under the age of 52) the appointee will be appointed with civil servant status with unlimited tenure, otherwise they will be granted salaried employee status under private law for an unlimited period.
