Located in the Faculty of Management and Information Systems at Hochschule Bremerhaven, the degree programme International Tourism Management offers students a broad range of courses and projects with different focal areas.

Your responsibilities will include, inter alia:
- Teaching in English in the subjects of Tourism Management and Business, Cruise Management, and other tourism-related foundational subjects, including Marketing and Applied Statistics
- Supervision of student projects, theses, and study-abroad periods
- Participation in the university’s self-governance bodies
- Active contribution to ensuring and further developing teaching and support offerings, as well as to the establishment and maintenance of contacts with industry and academic partners within the study programme
Required qualifications:
- An academic degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on tourism
- A demonstrated aptitude for academic work, typically evidenced by a qualifying doctoral degree
- Pedagogical aptitude for teaching at a higher education institution, including a willingness to undertake further training in higher education didactics
- Outstanding achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods in at least five years of relevant professional experience, of which at least three years must have been carried out outside the higher education sector
- Knowledge in the areas of general business administration and process and operations management in tourism, preferably maritime tourism
- Proven experience in a leadership position in the tourism industry or in related professional fields
- Ability and competence to teach in English, as well as (if applicable) the willingness to learn the German language
Preferred qualifications:
- Practical experience in process and operations management in tourism, preferably in maritime tourism
- Commitment to the further development of the “International Tourism Management” study programme in cooperation with the tourism industry
- Enthusiasm for innovative teaching and learning formats in an application-oriented, interdisciplinary learning environment
- Basic knowledge of the German language is advantageous
