Professor (W1)
in the Institute of Mathematics at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics. This civil servant or public employee position will start 01 April 2027.
This is a fixed-term appointment for six years; an interim review will take place before the end of the first three years.
We aim to recruit a candidate with a research profile complementing our activities in the CRC Transregio 326 “Geometry and Arithmetic of Uniformized Structures”. The professional profile should be documented by relevant highly ranked mathematical publications. The position comes with appropriate administrative and teaching obligations within the Institute of Mathematics.
This position is open to scientists at an early stage of their academic career who have not yet completed additional academic achievements such as a habilitation or an equivalent qualification. The formal hiring requirements are defined in sections 67, 68 and 70 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz).
