Social work professionals are confronted with the consequences and effects of digitalization in various environments, for example in dealing with knowledge (e. g. knowledge generation and acquisition, but also conspiracy narratives, fake news, etc.), violence in the digital world (cyberbullying, hate speech, incels, etc.) and the changed conditions of identity development in childhood and adolescence.
The applicant is expected to have in-depth knowledge of current discourses on the social impact of digitalization in research and practice from a socio-pedagogical, sociological or socio-psychological perspective. In addition, we require knowledge and experience in empirical research in the above-mentioned field.
Media and information skills (digital technologies, algorithms, artificial intelligence, etc.) are desirable, as is a willingness to undertake appropriate further training and existing professional networks.
Professional profile: Degree, preferably in education, social work / social pedagogy, sociology, political science, philosophy or comparable degree programs.
As the holder of this position, you will teach in the department's degree programs that match your profile. Furthermore, we require knowledge of and experience with application-oriented methods of action as well as theory-practice transfer.

The position is available for an unlimited period of time. When first appointed to a professorship, employment is initially on a probationary civil service basis or on a permanent employment basis with a three-year probationary period.
