W2-Professor for EpidemiologyThe professor will be appointed as civil servant (Beamter) with unlimited tenure. According to the interface function of the IMBIE, the professor should pursue an interdisciplinary research approach and should contribute to collaborative epidemiologic research and teaching activities at the UKB and the Faculty. These include the planning and conduct of epidemiologic studies and the use of routine and register data in collaboration with partners. In addition, it is expected that the professor contributes to the development of quantitative epidemiologic methodology. Participation in the curricular teaching activities of the IMBIE and in the course program of the International Graduate School "Clinical and Population Science" is envisaged.
Requirements are experience in the planning, conduct and analysis of epidemiological studies, interdisciplinary co-operations, lead of a scientific working group, teaching, and competitive third-party funding. Candidates must comply with the general conditions of employment according to § 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen).
