Institute of Transportation Systems
The Institute of Transportation Systems / DLR focuses on research and development in the fields of automotive, railway and public transport systems as well as traffic management. About 170 employees at the sites in Braunschweig and Berlin therefore contribute to increased safety, efficiency, profitability and sustainability of transportation.
Research and teaching aim at an improvement in traffic safety through automated traffic flow management and automated road and rail vehicles using the latest technologies.
For the position of the Director, we are looking for a dynamic and charismatic leader with acknowledged expertise in several of the following fields of land-based traffic:
methodical development of information, assistance and automated transportation systems
safety and reliability of transportation systems
systemic analysis of intermodal and multimodal transportation systems
development and evaluation of intermodal and multimodal transport technologies
user-friendly integration in closed loops

The requirements of the position are defined in Section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz).
