Bielefeld University’s Faculty of Educational Science is seeking to appoint as soon as possible a
University Professor (W2/W3) in
Educational Science specializing in
Pedagogical Guidance and Counselling
- Guidance and counselling based on educational science and the social sciences
- Formats, processes, and methods of guidance and counselling based on professional practice and theory
- Theory and history of pedagogical guidance and counselling
- Research on clients of pedagogical guidance, counselling, and supervision
The Faculty favours approaches to pedagogical guidance and counselling that take age and gender issues into consideration.
The successful applicant is also expected to participate in the centres, research networks, and further training courses that contribute to the profile of the Faculty and the University and to collaborate in setting up a new Centre for Quality Research at the Faculty of Educational Science. Preconditions for the professorship are a university degree in a relevant field, pedagogical aptitude, a doctorate, and further academic achievements. These will be evaluated exclusively and comprehensively in the appointment procedure (§ 36 Higher Education Act [HG]). Appointment to a W2 or W3 professorship will depend on the applicant’s qualifications. The Faculty expressly welcomes applications from appropriately qualified severely disabled and disabled persons.
