Scientific Group Leader (f/m)

We seek a talented, dynamic, independent, and motivated scientist early in his/her career to establish a Scientific Group in the fields of "Polymer and Organic Synthesis, Organic Materials, New Energy Storage" with the target to prepare for an independent academic career at our Max Planck Institute in Potsdam. The group is located in Potsdam-Golm, but in strong academic cooperation with the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, which also secures the standards of a potential habilitation. The ideal candidate should have a good scientific record and enjoy interdisciplinary cooperation. The institute is located in the greater Berlin/Brandenburg area, which provides a rich scientific environment.

The initial appointment of the group leader is for 3 years with the possibility of an extension for another two years after evaluation.

The position starts at the beginning of 2018, the precise starting date is negotiable.

Salary is paid in accordance with the rules for federal employees in Germany (TVöD) up to E14.
