of crystalline inorganic materials for
micro-/optoelectronics applications”

The Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth in Berlin Adlershof is seeking a talented scientist to establish in collaboration with the Physics Department at HU Berlin a Nanolithography Centre to explore and evaluate novel functional crystalline materials with respect to potential micro-/optoelectronics applications. The successful candidate is a highly independently working personality with an excellent knowledge of materials processing towards device test structures, including detailed experience on materials characterization, surface science and solid state physics of crystalline materials. Proven capability to acquire third party funds from public sources (e.g. DFG, AvH etc.) and/or private sector (e.g. industry, foundations etc.) is of central importance. Applicants should hold a Diploma or an MSc degree in physics, crystallography, materials science or related discipline with a strong experimental background. Furthermore, the candidate is active on lectures about the fundamentals of growth and properties of crystalline materials as well as their applications in modern societies; networking within Berlin-Brandenburg research and education area by collaborations with partners is particularly welcomed.
