Research Associate (m/f) molecular marker application sugar beets

We are seeking at the earliest opportunity in the frame of a maternity and parental leave replacement a Research Associate (m/f) in the Sugar Beet Breeding Group in the field of marker application, in full-time and for a limited period of 1 year. The position is located at KWS SAAT SE in Einbeck/Germany.

Your tasks
  • Plan and coordinate molecular marker projects for sugar beet breeding and quality control
  • Planning of projects with breeding teams and service providers
  • Evaluate, interpret and report marker results to breeding teams
  • Optimization of the use of molecular markers
  • Establishment of new marker systems and analysis strategies in molecular breeding

Your profile:
  • University degree in agricultural sciences, biology or comparable education
  • Good experience with genotypic data and the application of molecular markers
  • Good computer skills and experience with MS-Office
  • Experience with databases (e.g. MS-Access) and their maintenance is desirable
  • Experience in statistics is desirable
  • Knowledge in plant breeding
  • Independent and team-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of German is desirable
