Faculty III - Institute for Food Technology and Food Chemistry/ Food Process Engineering
Reference number: III-594/16 (starting at the earliest possible / for 5 years / closing date for applications 06/12/16)
Working field: Successful applicant will be working in the area of food process engineering. The tasks cover both research to pursue a PhD and education. For the later this means supervising students during their BSc and MSc thesis, contributing to lectures with the respective lab courses or supplementary teaching. Focus area of the Food Process Engineering lab is the supply of carbohydrate or lipid based raw materials and the application in food products. This opening is explicitly focusing on crystallization of either sucrose or gas hydrates. Additional, active participation in organization of the lab is expected.
Requirements: Master‘s degree or equivalent in a suited technical scientific subject such as Food Technology, relevant Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry. Scientific curiosity, a self-motivated active approach towards science and education are considered pre-requisites for success as well as team spirit and good command of English. Experience in crystallization and thermodynamics would be beneficial.
