Faculty II - Institute of Mathematics/ Collaborative Research Center/ Transregio 109 "Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics"
Reference number: II-543/16 (starting at the earliest possible / until 30/06/2020 / closing date for applications 04/11/16)
Working field: Research within the following project of the CRC / TRR 109, funded by the DFG (German Research Foundation): C07: U. Pinkall. Vorticity concentration for fluid simulation. PhD preparation is possible.
Requirements: Successful candidates must have completed a university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in Mathematics; thorough expertise in Geometry, especially in Differential Geometry is a prerequisite; a strong interest in the use of computer experiments for doing research in Mathematics and a strong interest in the application of Mathematics and Physics in the field of Computer Graphics is desired. / More informationen can be obtained from Beate Nießen (niessen@math.tu-berlin.de).
