Regulatory Affairs Manager (m/f)

We are seeking at the earliest opportunity a Regulatory Affairs Manager (m/f) for the Department Regulatory Affairs Biotechnology, full time and on a permanent basis.

Your tasks:
  • Be involved in approval procedures for contained use facilities, approvals for field trials and for the placing on the market of GMOs at international level
  • Carry out the preparation, including substantial independent writing of regulatory applications
  • Coordinate scientific studies as part of the application process
  • Evaluate the safety of GMOs and genetic engineering projects
  • Support of Monitoring and Stewardship obligations Maintain and develop databases
  • Maintain and develop databases
  • Represent the company’s interests during regulatory procedures
  • Monitor, develop and implement future genetic engineering legal requirements
  • Assess and evaluate political decisions and social developments
  • Work within an international team

Your profile:
  • University level qualification, possibly a doctorate, preferably in Agricultural Science/ Agricultural Biology, Biology or similar field
  • Knowledge of a broad range of scientific disciplines including: plant molecular biology, general agricultural science; familiarity with plant breeding and agricultural production desired
  • Familiarity with the Regulatory Science data requirements to support approvals for GM crops and experience in implementing the gene technology law and in evaluating the safety of GMOs would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken command of English
  • German is a plus
  • Proven independent ability to prepare succinct, scientifically accurate, and clearly written technical and regulatory documents
  • Demonstrate successful organizational skills, time management skills and strong attention to details
  • Able to work under pressure, highly committed, flexible, a team player and willing to cooperate
