The Professorship belongs to the Institute for Environmental and Process Engineering. We are seeking internationally reputable researchers with preference for candidates with research and teaching expertise in the field of water technology. The area of research should focus preferably on new engineering and scientific approaches for the development and technical design of equipment for water treatment, water recycling or water resource management. Experience with water technical measures in mining dominated environments is desirable. The teaching includes lectures, exercises and internships in the Bachelor and Master training, especially for students from the program of "Environmental Engineering" and "Land use and Water Management". The teaching also includes lectures in Civil Engineering (part of water construction) as well as Environmental and Resource Management. The participation in the redesign of the programs "Process Engineering, Environmental and Raw Material Technology" is expected. The participation in the structured Doctoral Training and the further development of PhD programs in the framework of a graduate research as well as engagement in the academic self-administration are also expected. Experience in the acquisition and realization of third-party funded projects is expected. Fields of research should be relevant for DFG (German Research Foundation) funding.
