The professorship is located at the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering.
The BTU is looking for a personality with expertise in the fundamental area
of structural analysis and dynamics, scientifically proven by profound research
accomplishments, teaching and professional experience. The successful candidate
shall represent the stated field in research and teaching.
The candidate is expected to contribute towards interdisciplinary research. Experimental
research can be conducted at the Research and Material Testing
Laboratory (FMPA) as well as at other university laboratories. Duties will include
teaching of undergraduate and graduate students (in German and English) of
the BTU. Participation in academic self-administration and in the further development
of the profile of the faculty is expected.

Experience in the acquisition and realization of third-party funded projects is expected. Fields of research should be relevant for DFG (German Research Foundation) funding. Lectures are primarily to be held in German, fluency in English is expected.
