Real Estate Engineering
The position will be filled in the lead up to/prior to the retirement of the current Chair.
Teaching and research of the professorship cover all areas of construction management, of building and construction industry as well as real estate engineering and management. This comprises the fundamental scientific knowledge of building site management, building project execution and the design of construction processes including aspects of construction engineering, law and economy.
The field of real estate engineering and management involves the integrated treatment and optimisation of buildings for the entire life-cycle taking into account technical, ecological and economical interactions.
Preferably the applicant’s research is on process-oriented modelling and simulation methods as well as on innovative procedures for economical assessments.
Experience with construction management, project management in construction or building construction with direct responsibility for staff are required.
The position involves teaching on the subject area in the degree programs of the faculty. Moreover the professorship coordinates the degree program "Real Estate Engineering and Management".
